BMR Grazing Blend
(Sorgo Sorghum-Sudangrass)

The BMR grazing blend can produce 80-100 days of grazing. With the different growth patterns from the hybrids you can count on grazing all season long. The BMR trait in the hybrids ensures excellent palatability and digestibility. The hybrids all have a high level of sugar contributing to increased intake and energy. Begin grazing at 18 - 24”. Use rotational grazing if they graze it down to the ground. We have had growers report stocking rates of 2 - 3 head per acre under rain-fed and irrigated conditions. Weight gains in excess of 2.5lbs/head/day have been reported.

Blend Characteristics:
  • Improved digestibility and palatability, high stem sugar.
  • Featuring small stemmed varieties to increase consumption.
  • Extensive testing package for IVTD, TDN and NDFD across many regions.
  • Water requirement - very low
  • Prolonged grazing offering a broad window of palatability.
  • Maximum nutrient bioavailability resulting from multiple growth patterns.
  • Begin grazing at 18-24" height

Seeding Rates:
  • Seeds per pound: 16,000
